Our focal areas

What is green stewardship?

Green stewardship, also known as environmental stewardship, is the responsible use and protection of the natural environment. In order for us as humankind to continue to live on this planet, we must embrace green stewardship and integrate it in our lives and businesses.

A major component of green stewardship is green literacy; understanding humanity’s impact on the environment, and taking action to improve our relationship with the earth.

At the Cleantech Foundation, we focus on advancing green literacy and green stewardship through the understanding, innovation, and adoption of clean technology.

Modern Architecture

Climate

Targeting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to global warming and climate change. This includes technologies that promote clean energy sources, energy efficiency, and carbon capture.

Energy

Traditional energy sources like fossil fuels are finite and can have negative environmental impacts. Solutions in this area focus on renewable energy sources like solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal energy to reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources.

Transportation

Designing and implementing clean transportation solutions such as electric vehicles, efficient public transportation systems, and alternative fuels. Promoting policy which leads to the adoption of these innovations.

Resource Depletion & Water Scarcity

Reducing the depletion of natural resources with innovations in recycling, circular economy models, and resource-efficient manufacturing processes. Innovative water management and purification technologies to address water scarcity issues also qualify.

Waste

Technologies for recycling, composting, waste-to-energy conversion, and waste reduction strategies.

Urban Sustainability

Creating sustainable and smart cities by implementing energy-efficient infrastructure, renewable energy systems, waste reduction programs, and green building designs.

Biodiversity Loss

Sustainable agricultural practices, ecosystem restoration, and conservation efforts are part of cleantech's efforts to combat biodiversity loss and protect ecosystems.
